When Krashak's maddened quest to ascend to godhood was successfully thwarted, those who were once originally Krashak's subjects were given a second chance at a new and different life, most of whom were put under Serak's employment and servitude. Serak is notably even-tempered and very fair (Compared to other Grey Seers) when it comes to the treatment of his underlings, though this is perhaps due to his elder age and wizened mind. Seeing potential in Duskfur, a once wayward and 'under-performing' assassin to Krashak, Serak offered Duskfur to serve him instead, to which Serak's Master Assassin, K'rix Deathfur, would train and elevate Duskfur in his skill and performance. Duskfur was granted a new and bluer uniform, to symbolize his new sense of loyalty and gratitude to the elder Grey Seer of Clan Ferrik.
