Thought as much. I was going through the comments, Seems some people are annoyed at how inflammatory this is (hah, see what I did there? :}
I guess what's got a few so upset is that while your influence of this comic stems from 'Dragon is stupid.' The title says 'Dragons are stupid,' pretty much blanketing anyone who appends that title to themselves. Then again, that seems to be the motif of the entire comic shtick you're employing.
Anyway, I at least found it entertaining. :} Thanks for your effort.

considering my mate, family, and 80% of my friends are dragons, i would not, im considered the nicest dragon usually to my loved ones and friends, but i hate how seemingly half of all the "furred" furrys dislike dragons, and they wonder why dragon furs may seem non social, well, furrys like you, and others on this page, simply dont help :3 thats all im saying, rather then insult and make fun of like a child behind a wall i think more people should just get along

As I said before, they are both overreacting, but I stick by what I said about Jinx. I mean look at what he has said, every post has something to do with some sort of negativity towards dragons, which one only fueled the argument and prompted me to post. Saying things such as "lso I'm going to be a little more ruthless against dragons in this comic in the future, best you avoid ^^ " and "wow, way to drama up the comic, god damn dragons." only served to fuel the fire of the pointless argument and how you can't see the arrogance in it is beyond me. I agree that the pic is not serious and things are only considered playful until it hurts, bothers, or does whatever else to somebody.

The basis of this particular stereotype and "furred" furries largely agreeing that dragons are socially retarded in this way, is that dragons tend to respond to ANY off-hand generalized silly not-serious joke against dragons as if it was a personal attack.

OI. I love it when people stereotype in the fandom. I think the fun fact should be changed to 90% of "furrs" are socially retarded. Makes the rest of us look bad. The problem with the dragon species in the fandom is that a lot of furrs see it as an excuse to try to push their dominance on others. It's incredibly annoying. What about the "Sadwolf" stereotype? I've seen a lot of wolves who are super depressed and/or emo all of the time despite squawking out loud about how they don't need anyone because they're a "lone wolf" or whatever, but that could just be a furry stereotype rather than a species specific one. =p

This comic doesn't diverse any credit at all, one because of all the drama it caused and two it's just stupid.

You're taking offense at a joke. If the stereotype is true, the joke is funny. If the stereotype has no basis in truth, then the joke just doesn't make any sense and is a lame joke. If I made a joke about "Oh, those near-sighted dragons, always needing glasses" would that offend you? It wouldn't be a funny joke because that's not really a commonly observed aspect of dragons, so it would just be a random remark that doesn't make sense.
Dragons get offended by stuff like this because the stereotype is true, and all you guys being offended or taking this joke comic as some kind of "jackass" attack are the reason why the stereotype exists. Look at the comments other dragons have made. Look at the responses. It's not "dragons defending themselves and everyone attacking them for no reason" it's dragons getting pissy and offended over nothing, and people pointing out that THAT is WHY this stereotype exists, and thank you all for proving the comic's point.

Well, after looking through the various replies, I can tell most people believe it's true that dragons are socially retarded. But why? I can believe *some* dragons* are that way, but *some* of every furry species is as well, so it's kinda unfair to point just at dragons. If anything, I tend to be quiet around people until I know them better or am invited to socialize in order to not cause problems. My character has all kinds of things that could be considered 'superior' to others, but his personality is also very outgoing and friendly, and he downplays himself more often than not. Mostly he just lives his life as it comes, and considers people to be more or less equal.

Ah Cyanide and Happiness style. Nice to see I'm not the only one who's seen this side of dragons. Hell, I get socially retarded from time to time as well... Buuuut I find that happens after about a case of Rickard's Red and a stereotypical discussion about different sexcapades people have thought they've had. Keep up the good work, I find the only way to get around these stereotypes is to know the perception to begin with.

( Gah, double post due to what seems to be the lack of an edit feature. ) Is the dragon wearing a Wizard hat? If the dragon is into D&D then he's instantly the most awesome character so far, and would probably make the best friend out of all of them since he isn't nearly as weird as some of the others so far.
While fyrreX did go overboard, the fact of the matter is that many of the furries in this thread are just as socially retarded. It is not just dragons, I know many wolf furries and fox furreis and horse furries and so on that are worse than any dragon in social retardness.
Wolfie up there is a good example, he just is butthurt because dragons offend his wittle wolfie ego, not to mention being a freaking hypocrite in complaining how dragons treat mammals, but then going on to say how dragon furs act emo/retarded/butthurt when we get offended at the same thing being done to dragons. Odd that its him and his buddies trolling about half the thread and basically acting like ainternet bullies. And saying "Dragons aren't retarded, it's just the majority of people who choose to be dragons that are retarded." makes you retarded, because seriously, judging people based on a fursona species is just outright retarded.
