Will, an unassuming, ordinary man, finds himself subject to an experiment being carried out by powers beyond his control - aliens, using people from backwater planet Earth to help them recreate the universe's ultimate weapon: the Omnitrix, which enables its user to shapeshift into any alien species imaginable. But before long, this mysterious and sinister organization may find things going far outside the scope of their plans...

13k words! (In two parts.) This was me trying my hand at Ben 10 fanfiction. The series, with its focus on transformation and interesting alien creatures, drew my attention back in the day, and as I got into writing, I had to do something with its excellent lineup of aliens (though, with adult, original characters), and Ripjaws - my favorite - in particular. (Stinkfly and Wildmutt were prime candidates too, though, and I want to do something with them sometime...) A lot of this is based around the concept, introduced in the series, of the character who draws energy from the Omnitrix and transforms into warped, excessive versions of its alien forms; once hyperkurai brought this to my attention, it worked its way into this story.

The two parts of this story were written a bit apart. They're pretty different in subject, but I put them together here since neither is very long by themselves. Part 1 is more focused directly on the transformation, and part 2 is a bit more focused on the fallout (though TF still plays a part). Part 2 is kind of an experimental piece for me; it's more of an action-focused story than I normally try. Definitely something I want to poke at more in the future.

I have a concept for a potential third part bouncing around in my mind, too. Sometime I need to sit down and flesh this out so I can close this story out fully.
