I present you Sin and Dex, they're a demon born from the fusion of a human and another demon, so they're more grounded and less obsessed with manipulating mortals. They're also two different people. Dex is a liberal, and Sin is a socialist. They get along most of the time and recognize that sharing two pairs of arms can be very convenient for most tasks.
Do they share one double-sized knob, or does each one have his own? Well, stay tuned to find out.
Where have I been?
And why did I interrupt the Mighty Princes series? Well, it's not interrupted, but steeping: making a bunch of magical boys really strained my color muscles, and by the end I realized that the color scheme I've used had too many holes, especially in the areas of blue and green. Which is pretty foolish when you focus on orcs.
I had also decided to make a giga-opinion piece on the Sailor Moon anime (the good one) and to split it into the captions of the illustrations to make it more digestible. But that requires maybe more decanting because I want to look at it with rested eyes and see if there are parts I can edit out or rephrase.
Where once I would have just grown frustrated and rushed the thing to get over with, the magic of Blender and vector art thankfully comes in. In Blender, color areas are materials. And that means I can just change the color of the material in the sidebar to instantly change the area where it's applied.
So I'm now building a more harmonious and complete color palette ordered in ramps to apply that to the Mighty Princes file and post them in the future.
For Magical March, I was thinking of giving the Pretty Cure fandom something to get hysterical about.
(And no, I'm not jabbing at them because they're a mostly female fandom, but because it's a big fandom, and big fandoms become inescapably toxic.)
Sin and Dex are indeed part of my daily doodle habit, which I'm imparting on myself to also build the new color palette I will use for any other project.
You might see them in the future with a different color scheme, like the alternative skin in fighting games, but hey, they're demons, they can change that.
Another thing this daily doodle series will synergize with is populating the benches of the Rawr Arena in the Celebrity Bangmatch series, because, oh boy, I've truly dug my grave with setting my comic in a stadium that now I need to fill up for every frame where the benches are visible.
But I'm still having fun and challenging myself to do new things, and that's the important part.
See you soon!
