Admittedly, Koukthroi (the owls) only obtain metal through trade. There IS some ore to be obtained through the forest they live in, BUT it's not exactly worth it to obtain due to the high energy. For one, there's an entrance to the Underdark underneath it that got sealed up awhile ago.
