Now I'm ashamed for not having said more about the animation itself!
It is a strikingly stark and stylish combination of blues, blacks and whites,
that convey the mood of untimely loss and grief,
but without slipping into the traditional
funerary imagery. This is clearly
the funeral of a new generation.
Reminded me of that tribute video for Navalny's death.
It's strange how real and fictional people
can stir equally powerful emotion
when they go away.
