What is that thing from? Ive seen it but have no explaniation as too what it is

It's called a Creeper and it comes from the Indy game Minecraft. They are a bad guy that are quite rememberable. While the game has spiders, zombies and even skeleton archers, quite average monsters, there is also creepers. They make almost no sound, they are green and textured like the landscape and when they get within one space of you, you hear a "TSSSSSSSSS" like a fuse being lit and they blow up with in about a second, maybe less, and destroy the landscape, and you, for about a good 4 spaces around it.

They are really more of a joke for minecraft players, some hate them, and some love them because they just became the mascot for Minecraft because they are for the most part one of a kind XD
