I honestly believe that you can do both without compromising your integrity in any way! More than that, I think it's self-evident that the number of artists who simply make art out of love greatly outweighs those who predominantly do it as a job. Art is the thing you just have to be passionate about (or simply be so good that your audience would get passionate on its own).
