Mina is a cheerful girl. She is the type of girl who if you tell her she's an idiot she would just smile and just agree with you and joke about it. She is pretty much the only person who cn get close to Shiba without getting mad, pissed, or sad. That cuz she harbor's feelings for him.

All that kinda changes on her birthday when she decides o confess after Shiba gets forced into treating her on her birthday. Shiba being the douche that he his tells her bluntly that he would never ever share the same feelings as her. Thats when she finally cried and lost her smile.
