Death Stain
Little lore piece of young 8-9 year old Judas next to Tyliptis, their great grand parent and the biggest of the family line.
When Exothropeans die they decompose quickly and don't leave anything behind. However, they can leave a "stain" if treated properly. Exothropean death customs have a unique process. When an individual dies they're placed on a flat slab of rock then positioned in whatever pose (varies for different cultures and families.) After positioned they're sealed and compressed, while they break down they create a stain on the rock leaving behind a silhouette that's true to shape and size. Once they're fully broken down and liquefied they're drained and collected from their slab. The liquid is then laid to rest in a single pit shared by all who passes in the heart of the colony.
Family members keep the stains of their relatives and are often placed upright in a hall dedicated to their memory.
Exoloshi text reads: Tyliptis. Qm maalsis's maalsis, kir zenti zaio altlin.
But the translation is Tyliptis. My layer's layer, Your great grand parent.
Exothropeans are my closed personal species for my universe/story they are not and will not be open to own/make
