realized I never posted the extras for Isekai TG here... probably bccause I remember FA getting into some mess around the time I finished uploading all the Isekai TG pages so I didn't touch FA at all!! but here it is..
____________
This was originally a Twitter thread back in 2022 about a man who gets isekai'ed and feminized but eventually fights his way out of it. this is an adaptation of that. just like the original thread, the most popular portion were the first pages/tweets and the later pages get less and less likes (lol)
there are many things, I can talk about the details of this comic all day.
even as an 'adaptation' there are quite a lot changed from the original. this isn't very related but when I started this comic, I was (and still am) very into Dark Souls games because I recently played Dark Souls 3. aside from the core themes of the Souls games that may or may not be felt in this work, I wanted to make a story with the same frustrations and satisfaction as a fighting a Dark Souls boss. make of that what you will.
I also never thought of this as a fetish work, I don't really consider adding anything that would make it 'hot' like a proper smut
-the protagonist + overall themes
the protagonist is kind of bland? that's just how TF protagonists are. intially Lotte was framed as the usual reluctant TF victim and in these past months, I haven't been drawing much TF artworks--in fact I feel I'm quite past my prime as a TF artist lol I feel people remember my works from 1-2 years ago, I was on fire back then..
only like 2 people recognized this plotline and know where it's going, few people knows how my previous works are and know where it's going---but a few people actually believed they would get a genuine forced fem fetish story. I kind of feel bad for them but I regret nothing! I wasn't kidding when I put the gender dysphoria warning after all...
speaking of gender dysphoria..!
my older works might give off the impression that I hate MtF content and people who keep suggesting them to me. in reality, I've grown past that phase. any requests for things I don't want to draw will just get ignored (lol) and I don't have the same dislike for MtF content as I do a few years ago, I just prefer the depict FtM. it's the same way some transfems/trans women will make wholesome affirming MtF content but feel they aren't fit to make FtM whether because it's the opposite of the experience they went through etc...or just because it makes them feel dysphoric. it's good to be flexible but there's nothing wrong with making only 'one side' of TG content at all.
Isekai TG was always meant to be exclusively about a trans man's experience (though there's nothing wrong with relating to the way dysphoria is depicted) it is NOT subversive to spite MtF content. I just borrow the well known tropes to tell the story
before I can say much about the protagonist--the fairy is important part of his story
The fairy has no coherent goals outside of to torment and destroy, not even a twisted kindness that was originally well-meaning or something. it's a true demon that just happens to take the form of Lotte's fear. it's the same story with a nice 'Demon Lord' character, I think it'd be interesting to depict a being meant to be pure evil. a few people said its actions are very on-brand for fey but imo instead of just for its own entertainment, it preys on Lotte's deepest fears... I think it's quite demonic instead of fey-like!
The fairy is not a personification of femininity but instead a manifestation of Lotte's dysphoria. from the way his body grows in the way he doesn't like, the way he is made to wear clothes he doesn't like... all this and he never said he hated girls and femininity, just that it's happening to him specifically. He's not being punished for anything aside from just being himself.
The scene where he is given a dress and reluctantly accepts it specifically based on a trans person being made to dress/present as their AGAB in public events, important occasions etc... reluctantly doing it while thinking 'it's just for this occasion, it'll be fine!' ('it's only for defeating the demon king, it'll be fine!')and feeling like shit after. I don't know if that's a common experience--it's based on my real experiences after all.
this concept extends to the odd detail of the fairy giving 'boons' to Lotte like battle wounds not leaving scars, the body being blessed etc...
all these boons that if he were to accept, will objectively make him stronger but not entirely himself anymore. I left it vague what the fairy's end game is but it's definitely no good for Lotte wwwwww it has a very 'deal with the devil' feel, selling your soul for something.
because the fairy is not a representation of femininity in the first place, these are not a message of 'women have it better!!' (or the reverse) in fact there's none of that 'boy vs girl' angle at all in the message. Lotte reluctantly wearing the dress is less about him 'embracing femininity' and more about him conforming to society's expectations
even the fairy's final words that he "will struggle so much more" and that he could have had a much easier life otherwise is true. If he just conformed to society's expectations, if he wasn't trans, things might have been a little easier for him. at least one less thing to worry about, no?
that he will have to struggle so much more is also true. the story ended on a good ending but his life goes on. This might get a bit too personal (you can skip this paragraph) for real trans people, no matter how good a person you are, how well you pass, how much you only 'mind your own business'---there would be people who just can't stop minding your AGAB and what's in your pants. one can argue that you can't 'truly escape' from your birth gender (and it's true to some extent)
and you don't even have to get into biology stuff, there's people who just hates trans people in general everywhere. I pulled like 2 transphobes just from this comic alone (lol)
a few people asked if Lotte got his dick back but I intentionally left the bottom part of Lotte's final transformation vague. there's no 'uncensored' version or anything
so while it's true that he will keep fighting so much more... to keep living is to keep struggling, right? good and bad things come and go, that's why Lotte kept going. The fairy didn't understand because she was a demon, not a human being.

About supporting characters
a pleasant surprise for me is how popular Abigail and Erica are!
Initially I want them to be 'background characters' that are completely detached from the (fake)fetishy tropes at the start of the story. they are completely uninvolved, they don't get transformed, don't have anything to do with trans themes themselves... but they are still Lotte's friends.
I want them to feel like friends who have their own goals and ambitions. Erica coming from a vague Viking-ish society and Abigail apparently dabbling into dark magic, small details like that.
one thing though, they're nice and accepting. they themselves are LGBTQ after all (sapphic)
someone mentioned that their body types are unconventional. it's true! though it's not their main point. I design them just like how I would design my usual characters. they're completely normal girls but the fairy talked shit about them anyways because they don't live up to the absurd idealized version of femininity (that she also forces onto Lotte)
because the fairy is not a representation of femininity and girlhood after all....
also fun fact, I made little backstories for them as well!
Erica started adventuring to impress a girl she likes but eventually discovered that her crush is violently homophobic. to avoid the embarrassment, she wants to bring some glory home and so continued adventuring.
Abigail who grew up shunned by her home village, took a liking to Erica because she can take advantage of the way Erica doesn't know the kind of magic she uses is dubious. their relationship grew into a genuine bond later....
in fact none of them has any reason to go after the Demon Lord aside from for the sake of glory.
there are many little details like Abigail having a bird familiar, Erica gaining battle scars... I want to give off the impression that there's a lot to their adventures that you don't see.
________
speaking of friends, the most unlikely friend of all is the Demon King!
I think the trope of "the demon lord... is actually nice!?" is very common so I didn't see him being nice as like a big reveal at all.
a few people theorized on what he could be. some say he might be a woman, a trans man who fell victim to the fairy like Lotte (same situation as mc) or even a trans woman (opposite to mc)
I didn't want him to be a 'previous victim' or 'the opposite of Lotte' or anything like that. he is a fellow trans man, however!
I wanted him to feel like his own person with a lot to his story that you don't see like Abigail and Erica. in his case, he is a trans man like Lotte but his own journey is different--his path only crossed with Lotte just now.
He was inspired by various transmasc friends I have. some of them physically transitioned, some of them don't. He's not inspired by them individually but rather, the way different trans people have different experiences. his fairy represents something else entirely different from Lotte's...! He's also depressed but things did get better for him in the end.
same with this whole comic. things were rough but it got better in the end, all is fine...
___________
some more fun facts here and there (that I might edit in later)
-I always intended Lotte to end up having long hair. shamelessly based on how 'long haired man' is my transition goal.
whatever is going on with the demon king's design also makes his silhoutte feel like he has long hair...?

it's genuinely so beautiful that us artists can channel our own personal expiriences into, well, art. I and I think many others saw that being reflected in your story. I read the whole thing, and look forward to your art regardless if you're continuing the story or not :)
I can definitely relate to that kind of thing despite not having been trans myself, and I can see why some people can look at transformation into say another species and see some parallels to their gender identity and in addition I can definitely see that isekai is very much like the Hindu belief in reincarnation.
