Alternate unpublished cover for our "Raiders of the Lost Yak" issue. By this time there was a change in the editorship at Marvel. Our new chief editor was a hardcore superhero type who ended up in charge of the licensed comics by literally drawing the short straw. He was always after me to make Ren and Stimpy "bigger" and more "in your face." I told him I wasn't even trying to make Ren and Stimpy look big, mainly because they were small. Anyhow, another Marvel staff artist drew the published cover with them "coming out at you."

Hey, were you the guy who did the comic where Ren tried to get a Log™ for Stimpy on Christmas, and had to do a bunch of humiliating and disgusting jobs to get it? Then after he bought it, the horse took a bite out of it? Then when he came home, he went apeshit and thrashed the Christmas tree until it became a Log™? I still remember that one.

Wow. I was a kid when I got that book out of a halloween grab-bag. My mom and I enjoyed the show immensely, so she got the book as a surprise. I'm almost 26 now...never thought I'd find the actual artist, let alone on a site like this.
