Another character concept for my RPG character Froo. He's a sneaky archer that goes all ninja when he's not spazzing out in fear. Yet another picture I'm too lazy to color.

And so HERE is where he looks more like an action oriented character. I suppose a more dynamic pose was needed for him after all.
I like his facial expression here the most. I think it's due to how his mouth is upturned the way it is, he looks like he's thinking something along the lines of "This arrow is about to be made of +20 AWESOME." It's the look of actual confidence coming from his character to show that he IS indeed [b]competent at his profession.
Still, going to have to say I like that dramatic pose. It's.. an archer's pose after all. It naturally would make sense for him to look like that when about to fire an arrow. However, what's impressive about it is... how accurate you have it. Like now he's holding the arrow with two hands rather than his entire hand like most people would have drawn it. (I think the only person who really did that in actuality was Rambo.....)
That spoken...I still believe the most detail went into his outfit. As that looked like it took some time to draw on. As, after all, RPG accessories are quite naturally the 'quirks' of a character.
After all, as shown by what's drawn on his leg, what ever would he do without that Bag of Holding +5 ? :)
...Yet personally, I happen to like the turn out to this one. It's rather impressive in it's own right~
One of the fun things about the process is discovery. I'd never drawn an archer notching an arrow, so I had to think of how it works so it'd match my mental image which became more clear when I realized that two fingers grip the arrow below the lil' feathers resting the shaft on a notch. I'd never thought of it until needing to draw it convincingly. Discovery and learning can be fun!
