Of all the--! One minute Cobalt is congratulating himself on getting his kitchen tidied up and a load of dishes going in the washer, and the next minute he's realizing that he's carelessly snagged his beard in the washer door. Now he has to choose from two miserable options: Stand there for nearly two hours until the wash cycle completes, or open the door and flood his kitchen.
At least there are some dishes still in the sink he can work on to pass the time.
This is a fun commission I got from
Mikakitty ! I pitched the loose concept of Cobalt's beard getting him stuck in an unspecified awkward situation, and she ran with it from there. I love TF-induced low-stakes peril. (Cobalt having a beard isn't technically a TF, but it is magically enforced to be 10 feet long, so it's something he doesn't always want to have, particularly in situations like this.)

With the dishwasher design in the picture, most likely. My IRL dishwasher annoyingly has all of its controls on the upper lip of the door, making it inaccessible when running. Of course, if we're being realistic, the braid should be preventing a watertight seal and the kitchen would flood if Cobalt did nothing, anyway.
