Made me have a smile to see this, for sure! The expressions and poses play very well together here.
Though you probably needn't worry about the sunset being difficult to work with. The reflection of light off the mountains and running through the tops of the trees is all positioned fine from where the sun is coming from. And the characters are lit appropriately too! Very skillfully done.
