However, this time, the cat approached her with a few long strides, making it cross her mind for a moment that the feline would reprimand her, scold her, raise his voice, or, in the worst case, attack her, finally tired of her, annoyed by her actions, her personality, her words.
Instead, the weight of his hands rested on her soft torso, holding her, stopping her from withdrawing so abruptly in a half-hug. However, his touch was neither rough nor showed aggression, but rather a touch of warmth and even shyness.
She didn't have time to turn her head to see his face before he leaned over her and kissed her cheek quickly.
The Absol's mind couldn't process what had happened. She wanted to turn toward him, but her mind was trying to assimilate what had happened. The cat had always kept his distance from everyone, but now he gently took her in his hands. The kiss was clearly clumsy but honest, and when she finally saw his face, his gaze clashed with the frown that always appeared on his face while her own gaze was lost in the confusion of the moment.
"Okay, now I've done it."
It was hard to tell if he was saying it to her or to himself.
And now he leaned toward her, hugging her completely.
