
The radio was missing the speaker grill protector slats. Found this Syroco wood wall plaque that enhances the look of the radio. The scene reminds me of the Juan Valdez coffee commercials of the 70's, and 80's.

Tested the tubes, and replaced the capacitors.

An absolute stunner!! ^^
I have a 1942 Philco that is completely factory original inside. And just a few days ago it died. But now it basically needs a complete overhaul inside and out. The only nearby place I know that repairs old radios refuses to take anything in from other people.
