April of 1917. A new machine to the German flying core walks out of her specially made hangar, her mechanical steps alerting all to her arrival. The newest machine on the field. Alva.
The Germans had seen the use and success of the Royal flying core’s own prototype aeroframes and made sure to make their own with many elements copied from photos or stolen documents. In a few short months they had their own copy. A new framed based upon pre existing Albatross fighter parts. This new weapon would be handed to JG-11 under the teachings of Manfred Von Richthofen where she’d quickly learn not only the basics but the combat essentials to victory. Her first few flights proved promising in mock combats however she’d never faced off against a real target until April of that year
Bloody April. This month would be her baptism of fire as she’d get her first look at true warfare. From no man’s land to the heavens above she’d quickly adapt to real combat, earning her first victory on 11th with 2 more the following day and another 2 on the 15th. In 5 days she’d claim 5 victories quickly boosting her confidence and making her eager for more. She’d follow close to her tutors lessons every chance, watching her enemies moves before striking, always making sure to have an exit strategy and get behind her target. On the 20th she’d push her abilities by taking out 2 more enemy fighters with her guns then got for a 3rd with just her hands, grabbing and ripping apart the aircraft till it was a ball of splinters and fabrics falling to the ground. By the end of the month on the 30th she had 12 victories to her name and was undefeated…until she faced off with her counterpart...Mildred..
Something I had meant to get out muuuch earlier but was stopped by some life bits and of course FA shitting itself hard. But here it is! Meet Alva-Tros, a great war aero proudly strutting down the runway of JG 11. Imma be honest, I think this is the best ive done shading wise as well as detail wise. Was pretty fun too tho had a slight case of hand cramp lol
