Leal fell into the expectations of a small town, marrying his girlfriend right out of highschool. She stayed home to focus on raising the kids as he continued his schooling- going on to learn programming and landing a steady job that kept the family going as the kids grew up. As life went on and his kids left for college he and his wife had a moment to look at their lives and realize it wasn't what they wanted anymore. They're still very good friends, still both very active in their kids' lives, but both of them moving on to find who they are beyond the roles they've been stuck in for the last couple of decades.

Leal can often be found hanging out at Hunter's grill on the weekends, as he provides the brew served there. He owns and operates a small brewery, providing craft batches of beer and mead to several small local businesses. He's a bit picky about who he shacks up with- be it for one night or slightly longer engagements- preferring to *really* get to know someone before sharing a bed.
