He is the monk in charge of caring for and supervising lay brothers under the age of 25 at Raumagne Abbey. He volunteered to take on this role himself and is very serious about his work. He is a patient and gentle man who genuinely cares about the boys under his supervision. Many of his younger brothers like him, although some other monks think he is too lenient.
Chrestien lived most of his life in the priories of Raumagne. He found his calling within the abbey, and cannot imagine being anywhere else. He retains injuries from his youth (his severed ear and his two missing fingers).
