Lust did indeed fall in love with a human many hundreds of years ago during the Holy War against Hell. She was wholeheartedly planning on fleeing the conflict to escape and be with him, but when the Holy Inquisition discovered her true identity, he protected her so she could escape. He hadn't known she was a demon either, but even when he discovered her true nature, he still protected her, and the Inquisition captured him and had him executed. She was present in the crowd when he was beheaded in the Capital City square.
Since then, Lust has been unable to reconcile with what she considered the truest of all evils; Love.
