Just throwing my Argonian up here, because I like her and wanted to share. I plan to get some actual artwork featuring her in the future. Currently, she's rocking some ebony armour, an enchanted 'battle skirt' because I didn't know the correct term when enchanting the thing, the sword Umbra, and the Escutcheon of Chorrol. She resides in Chorrol, after becoming quite taken with the city (that term may be a tad generous for the 'cities' in Oblivion, they're really more like small towns, if that) and a certain pair of Argonians who reside there.
As her name implies, she dabbles in various things, 'walking many roads' as it were. This was just my way of having an in-game justification for getting distracted by side-quests and guild shenanigans, as I always do when playing Oblivion.
I've also been working on some 'LORE', because I rather like the character and want her to be something more than just some random prisoner-turned-hero lol - I'm even thinking about giving her a spooooooooky curse, because curses are fun!
I'm really enjoying the Oblivion remaster, It's amazing how much more engaging the game is now that the people actually look like people, and there are more than four voices for them. I rather like how the Argonians and Khajiit look, with the latter actually looking like cats now, and the former having a sort of Dragon Heart vibe, especially the male Argonians.
Anyway, that's it for now. Going to have a drink and the snooze, or maybe play some more Oblivion, I don't know lmao

"They're more like small towns, if that." Oh 'sactly, I've been saying this for yeeears m8! :3
The imperial city's granduer is entirely due to it's big ol' curtain wall. I feel the same way about Mournhold "city of light.. city of MAJICK!".
The cantons of Vivec are probably the closest to the scope or 'feel' of a genuine city (by my measure anyhow).. mainly for how annoying it is to get around without levitating.
Also a fan of imagining the lore, particularly any circumstances that led to being in the gaolhouse or on the chopping block. For my chars that tends to be poaching, abolitionist actions, loitering, guar-tipping, or a soulgem heist gone wrong. Things of that nature.

Got to love engine limitations lol - I'm sure it's just a matter of time before we get an Elder Scrolls-esque game where the cities are truly sprawling, or at the very least big enough to justify the title.
And yeah, it's always fun to think up lore for characters in these sorts of games, certainly helps me get more invested in what is going on if I imagine my character is someone who has lived in/will continue to live in the setting, and not just some soulless husk to be puppteered.

100% agree. Loosely related example, but in Skyrim, I never ever finished the Thieves Guild questline because the ghosts in the spooky nightingale cave said something about how becoming part of their club means that you get the dubious honor of guarding the cave after you die.. forever.
While this means nothing mechanically to me the player, I decided that Morla Bleakspine (jaundiced and runty argonian bowsniper picked up for poaching several weeks prior) wanted nothing to do with THAT. Hist preserve us.
She left the cave immediately and threw fistfuls of gold at the back of a coach driver's head until she was well clear of Riften. Only ever went back to the region to join the vampire hunters.
