That kind of malpractice does, sadly happen. I know this for a fact because it happened to myself when I was an infant.
Not life threatening THIS degree, but without giving away too much personal info, it ended the next morning with a pediatrician calling the hospital I was at previously demanding to speak to the staff who took care of that child. >_<

For a bit of an antisocial dipstick, Tamrood seems to have just the right friends/colleagues who help him look like a miracle worker over and over.
He must drive management nuts... they would have an endless stream of attitude complaints about him and then a diplomatic/media 'hero' moment to make it impossible to turf him with the cycle seemingly continuing over and over.
