Sinking into the water, her lungs burning as water fills them, desperately holding onto her final breath, wishing beyond anything else to have been able to do something about this. So many will die in the cold depths...

"You wish to save them don't you my child...? I can aid you, but I am afraid my gifts were never meant for surface dwellers...there...will be unforeseen effects..." A voice calls from the darkness...

Opening her eyes and looking up, seeing a great leviathan, a creature of ancient legend. It's eyes piercing into her own but not with malice or condescension but with pity. Her breath faltering but in this moment she could speak with this great creature.

"Are...you aware of what this sacrifice could mean for your future?"

She struggles to keep her mouth closed as she speaks. "I may not be able to return home."

"Perhaps, perhaps not. One thing however is certain, your destiny will be forever changed."

"If I don't...my destiny is to die here and now."

The Leviathan nods as a bright light erupts from her body, Ellora's body similarly glowing...
