Hiy - and I cannot stress this enough - ya.
You wouldn't believe how many opponents I've taken off guard because I didn't have my sword at hand. "Ha ha, ho ho," they chuckles heartily, "What use is a warrior without a weapon?". To which I of course say "My whole body is a weapon, you silly little man."
I mean, I say it with my foot, and I don't so much "say it" as "rearrange their facial features", but I think they usually get the gist of it.
