This fun duo idea was inspired by and Nyamuthep the God of Magic. Leading my own take on the "Alice in Wonderland". A detective whimsical noir Tale: "Allen in Wonderlane". And I wanna thank gabbagebin as making such a great duo character in the "Pred-a-verse".


Plot:

Allen was your typical guy private detective who moved into a small, yet very strange and mysterious urban city called "Wonderlane". Populated by anthro and human characters in this "wonderland" of a odd English town. As ordered by the mayor being like the "Queen of Hearts" (Quinn Coure), with her husband (Carl Coure). All to take down a notorious criminal overload corrupting the city with a substance known as "Madness" by a master criminal: "Jabberwocki". Allan being the nerdy guy of reason and logic gladly offered to solve this chase. Along with his new Partner, Cheshire. Former fat hitmen big cat to the "Jabberwocki" turn to his assistant. Who "helps" Allen with his high prey drive and a Chesire smile. With his full name being Cheshire "Glynn Plyane" or the "Cat who laughs". Now is up to them to slove many chases in a city where logic makes no sense.

Allen being the normal, logical and kind of a dorky young man who wants to do the right thing in finding justice as being a private detective. Curious, polite and caring for the most part. but can put push to his limits IF things don’t add up or won't make sense. But wants to join in the fun in helping but can get frustrated if he can’t put two and two together in city giving little sense and logic to solve cases. With Allen trying to make sense of things, at the cost of not minding people their own business. Such as a habit of questioning evidence in an OCD like pattern. Especially taking on tasks with caution that can makes him stubborn. But all with good intentions as being caught in the middle in the strange cases of Wonderlane . Who tolerates and even finds his "big kitty" cute, but focus more on work then his own well-being. Along with Allen not knowing if Cheshire is threatening or not. Not knowing if something dangerous Cheshire is as devouring him, or Cheshire playing along with the inexperienced detective in this new land. But still can trust him beyond that smile with a pinch of salt. Speaking of such BIG cats...

Although sometimes taking things too literally, he’s not trying to be annoying nor making Allen’s life miserable. Rather taunting Allen with valuable information that helps to solve a mystery as getting Allen out of trouble if the young man goes too far. As he honestly tries to keep Allen safe as being his true friend that is more than just a tool in this massive thick and blubbery obese feline. Who may look proper and laid back. Yet won’t say no gobble up the bodies and lick any clues so no detectives will ever find evidence during his past. As if they never even existed. Not helping is that he always flashes his “Cheshire smile” towards his prey before he gobbles them up. Giving him the infamous nickname “Cheshire”. Who dreams of actually being a comedian with his dry, yet delightful witty humor. But got drafted to the gang life due to economic hardships as being an enforcer/hit cat to the “Jabberwoki” . Until one day after Jabber left the fat cat to die after falling into a vat of drug induced chemicals of "Madness". Driving Cheshire into a chaotic and enigmatic state. Who can also disappear and reappear at will. Who in wanted revenge, joined Allen’s detective Crusade on bring the criminal justice. Along with finding the young man pretty loving to be around. Especially teasing that can get on Allens nerves, but kind of knows to be serious if he or Allen are in real danger. But there is no doubt they are more than just partners, as in close doors they are truly lovers of justices beyond the madness like one day away from losing it. Yet can handle the chaotic and enigmatic state of Wonderlane the best they can.


Meanwhile and there relationship in a nutshell: Allen, after a day of solving the latest Case at their apartment with Cheshire next to him

Cheshire: Madding day I see?



Allen: ah! God where you there the whole time?!



Cheshire: Well, the door WAS open, so I drag myself in, obviously



Allen: *signs* Your here to knock me out aren’t you?



Cheshire: MAAAAYbe, thinking of slumbering tonight, maybe in me?



Allen: Ches not now, I'm fine!


Chehsire: *Jumps back with ears folded*


Allen: *Deep breaths*, sorry, it's just ever since I came to this place, I try to use reason, sense and logic to solve people's problems. Yet every time, it twists and turns to things that I can’t even explain why or how it is was or will be. Like the more I think harder, the more I felt I could have done more.


Allen: It's nonsense common sense? Does anything even matter now? What I’m I good for if the problems are too difficult to comprehend cuz I think too much to too little even for the smallest things?


Cheshire: Allen, remember the time we first met ?


Allen: Yeah, what about it?


Cheshire: I was quite a mess and was completely bonkers wasn't I?



Cheshire: We all mess up in things we can’t understand.


Cheshire: Even with our failures, it makes us learn to do better even with our small quirks. As they make us better than when we started.



Allen: Thanks Cheshire, I needed that, I really do.



Cheshire: Good, now get some rest before I ACTUALLY knock you out with my gut ?



Allen: Well, I *ooph*



Cheshire: *bellyflops over him* prrrrr, oh this is gonna be the start or a wonderful relationship.
