--How much longer?!-- Seyah was asking in her mind, struggling to stiffle a growing panic while she stared at the water tribe member 'testing' her.
She didn't want to mess up. She could not mess up! Her future would depend on this as it would decide if she were to be accepted in this tribe.
After wandering for so long away from her destroyed home, Seyah was glad for any opportunity. If needed, she would endure anything, including a fire in her chest.. like exactly what she was doing right now.
She could feel her whole ribcage moving repeatedly when her body was trying to make her inhale.. make her breathe.. oh the irony with her name being close to the word for "breath" in her language. --N..no, don't think of breathing. You are gonna be a water Na'vi! As soon as he.. finally.. gives the cue...--, she told herself whilst gripping harder onto the rock she was sitting on.
Bubbles began slipping from her lips while her vision was bluring...
