                    And here is page 2 of this comic, where it becomes apparent why this is a Halloween comic.
Aesop gets saved by the bell, or rather, a cosmic eldritch abomination that appears in the well.
This page also shows an aspect of Rajah's personality. She is proud, but not too proud to admit when she is wrong. She will apologize to her would-be preys is she thinks she needs to, and even change her mind about eating them as long as she is not starving.
For disclosure, the well in the 5th panel was ai-generated. As I explained in "About Butterflies...", I only use AI generated images to bring a feeling of uneasiness and weirdness into my drawing, since... honestly it's what AI images do best. Here the well houses an eldritch abomination, so it's prime candidate for this.
I am aware of FurAffinity's policy about AI content. As it stands, I don't think this artwork is derivative of the AI image, in the sense that the core of the work isn't AI generated, but I agree it's kind of an edge case, so I have no problem if I'm asked to remove it.
