A ref for a 🍊 of the woods
Being compassionate to oneself is a step-by step process, like a great oak the littlest signs of growth count. The last time I made a ref for my sona was years ago. And the past couple months I've been recconnecting with what he means to me as a character.
The beauty of fursonas is that you can have a ''clean slate'' as it were to express ourselves, perhaps you've always wanted to be a certain animal, or wear a certain outfit, become that mischevious critter you loved ever since you were a kid. It makes me happy seeing people learn to better love themselves through their sonas.
As I'm learning to distance myself from the idea that my ''value'' is the art I produce, and you better connect with the fact you've been worthy and valuable this whole time. You start to define yourself a differently, carving out a path towards your true self. I love to make art and animations. But I am not Luke the artist/animator. I love nature and woodland critters, I like gearing up on cozy winter days. I love forests and how mysterious they can be. And even if I loved other things, I'd still be worthy and valuable, and so are you, and have been the whole time.

I love that too about personas/fursonas -it is meant to represent you, and be a way to express yourself, or an aspect (or several aspects) of yourself. You can clean slate it, or change it as you see fit, as you yourself change. I love that.
Helps you feel better about yourself, and feel more comfortable in your own skin. My chubby Eastern Dragon has really really helped in that, as has Grei Shoutmon.

You're valuable in more ways than one big guy. We're all more than just artists and animators. We're people who do wanna make a difference in life. Making good friends and meeting new and incredible people in the process. You and many others I've met, you all have made my life on here and in general all the more fun and exciting. Inspirational too. You're always valuable just like everyone else. Sure, we're all just regular people at the end of the day, but we all have something to appreciate. Each other. Amazing work on the ref big guy. You enjoy your life to its fullest as well man.
God, I just love the moomin style look you're adding to yourself! It just adds to the level of comfort and comfiness I think of when I think of you! You always bring a bit of a crisp fall wind or cold nip of winter to mind, especially with your poofy jackets and other warm bundling-up outfits.
