Here, I had some fun using Hero Forge to create an anthropomorphic hybrid of horse and wolf that encounters a young girl. The girl is fascinated by this creature, which is wearing ripped jeans.
Short Story
The girl, Stella, had gotten lost in a snowy area and was very scared.
She was close to despair but didn't want to give up.
Then she came across an extraordinary creature, not a Yeti or any other familiar animal.
It seemed over two meters tall, with a muscular build, and it looked like an anthropomorphic mix of two animals.
The creature was an anthropomorphic mix of horse and wolf. The legs and head were clearly those of a horse, but the torso, arms, claws, ears, and tail were clearly those of a wolf.
The girl didn't know whether to be afraid or fascinated; this creature combined two animals she loved most.
To her surprise, the creature spoke to her. "Are you lost? Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you, I just want to help."
"What are you and what's your name?" Stella asked.
"As you can see, I'm anthropomorphic, a cross between a horse and a wolf, quite a contrast," the creature replied.
"My name is Stella, and yours?" Stella asked.
"I won't say my former name; I think I've forgotten it, or perhaps I want to forget it," the creature said.
"Do you know the way back to the small town? I'm scared," Stella said.
The creature approached her, bending down to be at eye level. Its yellow wolf eyes had an almost hypnotic effect on Stella.
"Yes, I can help you," the creature said.
It offered to carry her in its arms. Stella felt no mistrust and let it carry her. She immediately felt safe and secure.
As the creature walked, many questions arose in Stella's mind.
"Tell me, you're wearing ripped jeans. What does that mean?" she asked.
At first, the creature didn't want to answer her, but Stella radiated great kindness and trustworthiness, so he replied, "These jeans are a remnant of who I used to be."
Stella looked at him and then asked, "Were you perhaps once human? Are you some kind of werewolf?"
The creature let these two questions sink in for a moment.
He paused, put the girl down, and looked for a quiet place. He actually found a quiet spot where they could both sit down.
The creature was ready to tell his story. "Yes, I used to be an ordinary person, a boy. I won't tell you who I am, only how my life went. I was an unremarkable boy who was always teased, and I found solace only in my two favorite animals: horses and wolves. Then one day I found a strange amulet; I never found out how it came or where it originated. A desire burned within me to unite the strengths of horses and wolves. The amulet seemed to grant my wish, and I transformed. First, I grew taller, and my muscles expanded. My clothes ripped, my feet became hooves that burst out of my shoes. My nails turned into wolf claws. My shirt was torn as my torso grew stronger and broader. I grew a wolf's tail, wolf's ears, and my head and face became those of a horse. Finally, I was completely transformed and felt the urge to run. I had indeed become stronger and faster; it was an insane rush. In the woods, I felt Probably something to do with the wolf part. But to my misfortune, I discovered that I no longer had the amulet. I searched everywhere, but I couldn't find it. To my horror, I had to acknowledge that I could never go back home, back to my family. I was now a hybrid creature without a species affiliation. I tried to approach both horses and wolves, but I was too alien for them. I discovered that I could feed myself on both hay and (raw) meat. Over time, I learned to live with my new body and my new self; nature gave me comfort. Since then, I have lived here and observed people who find their way here. You are the first person I have ever shown myself to and told this to." Stella felt pity for the creature that had once been a boy. She stroked its ears, and it liked that.
The creature managed to bring Stella back to the path so that she could return home.
Stella thanked him and asked if they would see each other again. The creature promised it would and retreated into the forest. His horse tracks could be seen in the snow.
Stella arrived home, and her parents were relieved.
In her room, she drew a picture of the horse-wolf or wolf-horse. She was optimistic that it wasn't the last time she had seen him. To her, he wasn't a monster, but a hero.
