Little quick crapy sketch for myself of my Hognose baby Pumba. <3 He's such a fatty fat chub. He's been really active as of late. I love watching him dig tunnels and play peek-a-boo over his grape vine log. <3
Anyway bak to work. <3
will scrap later

Very cute! I assume your hoggie is doing good? Mine stopped eating and I got worried so I gave her to a more experienced reptile owner in Dallas. She was also lethargic and skinny...he didn't seem overly worried though so hopefully nothing has happened to her. I do miss her though!
This picture makes me miss her :( But it is a uber uber cute picture!!

Well sometimes some species more than others, yes. But make sure you ask a seller if they are eating good or not. Sometimes they can provide sheets of how many times they eat/poop/shed since they were born (if still young). Some will lie to get you to buy. But I'm sure you'll find a good one when your ready. :3
Thanks for the tips! I will remember that next time I am in the market for a snake. I think next time I will be looking at a king snake...and probably not a "baby" snake.
As of right now I got 2 leopard geckos and a bearded dragon. I think the bearded is considered "old" for his species and so will probably wait until he is gone before even thinking of getting another reptile.

Since their natural diet is more focused on frogs and lizards, I heard that baby hognoses sometimes have trouble taking to mice ... but I am not an owner, just a wanna-be, haha.
If that's not true, all the better, of course! I do understand that all species have the capability to be problem eaters, but it's my understanding that it's a little more common in baby hoggies. I just don't think it'd be a good idea for me to bring one into my life if it isn't already eating on mice.
They have
the cutest little shovel faces
and I hope there's a bunch at the next show I go to, so I can coo and fawn over the little babies.
