Entry for the  fachakats flag design contest.

I'm short on the deadline so this is a first quick entry to warm up, hopefully I can come up with a few more before the deadline.

Kinda crappy as I threw this together in a hurry, but I'll try explain...

This is the European flag in the Chakat Universe, which is set about 300 years or so into the future.

At first I just re arranged the stars of current days European flag, but then I decided to make the blue a bit lighter and add the white phoenix wings to symbolize the rebirth of the European union, but also reference the United Nations flag.

12 stars to stay true to today's flag, but re-arranged and having a different meaning.

The star in the middle represents the founding of New Benelux the first countries to be reunited after the Gene wars in Europe, although the original alliance was formed elsewhere, New Benelux was chosen to honor the original founding before the wars.

The five stars around it represent the founding members of the new European union, France, New Benelux, Germany, Italy and the UK.

The stars on the left and right sides were added later and represent the other world nations, symbolising that Europe is part of the UNTWG (United Nations of Terra World Government) as a nation.

Side Note.
I'm thinking that each country in Europe incorporated a gold star into their flag as a sign of membership, except for France, Germany, Italy and the UK who would have the five large stars and the countries of new Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxemburg) wo'd have the five large stars with the smaller star in the middle.
