Experimenting again with Audacity and recording techniques.
Recorded in fragments: I noticed even the great Fischer-Dieskau had to snatch breaths for this one. I have to think the fault lies with Schubert though, those are epic phrase length he expects, and that piano part you can't help but be impetuous with. :3
A form of cheating I suppose, but there is no auto-tuning. It did help me pitch each phrase in my head though, and, inevitably, meant I wasn't snatching for breath.
I apologise not for my liberty with the piano part though! I am always of the opinion that the pianist is too conservative in Schubert's lieder, (although, I suppose it does help to know your own playing technique.)
What I must apologise for though is my butchering of the German language. I'm not trying to start World War 3 or anything. :P
