Aaa! I do love the implications of this, given the title.

I'm sorry, but all I can think of looking at this is "Death Metal Tunnel of Love". XD

The location of this construct makes me believe that a setting not shown gives detail to a demonic monastery prolific with malicious ritual and rule. I can imagine damned ecoustics ringing through and from the blackened passages. Whether it be the inside of an organism, the verse of a portal, or anything else you intended otherwise, I cannot determine. That genderless corpse seems to be a vessel for nourishing the stability of the bone architecture, as well as to embolden spiritual emanation. It looks like rich, viscous blood siphons indefinitely into this wall, streaming through a marrow that flushes towards what I fear may be in the dark. Excellent, excellent piece.
