Yeah, that's the thing with just about any character with me as well, whether it's my own creation or adoptable-bought. I feel that if I'm going to spend $50-$100 or even higher on a character being auctioned or sold, I should build some personality traits and backstory/history around said character, via written details and some commissioned art that demonstrates/shows said personality/characteristics. Make it worth the money that had been spent to get that character and such.
