A full illustration commission for Kardi Corgi, of her unicorn character Lloyd enjoying some time in an aquarium tunnel. The shark is a sort of mutant between a tiger shark and a sand tiger shark, and there's a few ceolacanth's in there too. Whew, this was a challenge!

ok, even though my mind is screaming at me that regardless that a tiger shark and a coelacanth wouldn't be kept together, a coelacanth most likely can't be kept in an aquarium at all, this is an amazingly gorgeous piece of work! That water detail and light reflecting on the shark is so stunning!
Wow, I can't even begin to describe how AWESOME this is. You've got Lloyd down pat, especially his HAIR, and that bit of roached tail, I'm so glad you included that into the image, haha! Your fish are AMAZING, especially how you've got the multi-finned coelacanths bordering the shark on opposite angles, great composition there. The pervading blues are beautifully matched with the light gold backlight, and the sandy-rock bottom of the aquarium floor is totally awesome, coz it's totally like a classy aquarium interior, sans plants. <3 The puffers are adorbz, and also: TARDIS. HOMG. XDDD <333 (I love easter eggs like that! XD)
Also, I'm totally digging Lloyd with his classy man-watch on one wrist, and leather cuff on the other, that's perfectly in style with his metroness. ;) And his elbow fringes too, much <3. Thank you so much for painting him. <333

Oh man, where do I start....
I guess I start with saying you have always been an absolute pleasure to commission. You totally have gone above and beyond on every piece I've gotten from you, and this one is sort of like -- I'm still just blown away.
This has every element I love of your work -- from the way you compose scenes, to the light and use of color, the amazing background work, to the wonderful realism of the characters themselves interacting with their environment.
I love Lloyd's friendly and fascinated expression in this - he's just a nice guy, haha! It's tough to get roached manes to look right, and that angle on horse-heads can be just a challenge. His tail tuft, his lanky figure - all of it's perfect, from his jaw to his ears to his clothes. Wonderful.
Oh man, though, the elegance of the fish -- the fish have weight to them, thickness. You recognize them as individual fish and then see them as the whole. I LOVE the Coelacanths - the way you did the individual fins - on each fish, the shark, the groupers...
Howver, the puffers just made me grin - their faces are awesome... and of course that little Easter Egg. ;) You rock!
Again, thank you so, so much for this!!!
