That's true, they do. I never thought of that. And they appreciate warm cars that they will fly up under when you park too. Poor things, I saw a sparrow do that just this morning. Flew right up to the radiator and sat there before I could even get out of the car! Funny but he knew I was parking. I swear I could hear his little beak chattering!

And I think your quote about Donut is very well said. Birds do indeed appreciate the smallest of things.
The geese here about are beginning to head south. They kind of hang around this part of North Dakota until the potholes freeze over. How they find any food this late in the season is beyond me! But I guess God finds a way to feed them too.
I was so struck with their beauty today as they flew over our office building. Talk about a masterful design! How anything that big EVER flies is beyond me- yet they don't seem to be working all that hard.
Donuts seems quite the lovable little character, if I may say so.
