Here we go again.

Thought that shit is not trendy or whatever anymore but seems i was wrong. Didn't dispute the first few images that got removed i posted after my 2 year abstinence from FA 'cause i usually don't like to argue via internet with ppl since arguing is pretty much useless anyway. I saw, when i came back, it was the wrong time to change the way i create images or the subjects 'cause it was an abrupt change ( not for me, just didn't post anything here in 2 years ) so it almost was a given that this would lead to ppl reporting me for using AI in this time and age.
Got FA+ so i can post higher res pictures and show a little support for a the site that which i joined several years back and since i was planing to be a bit more active. Tried to avoid using an external side.
Opened a Ticked to get the stuff back up. Depending on the decision ( even positive one ) i will probably switch to a personal site 'cause like i said in my first journal i did when i came back, i won't change anything on how i do my pictures atm 'cause i like how they turn out. I don't care which wannabe artistic brainiac reports me for whatever reason they pulled out of their ass, admins that lost their grip on reality a long time ago or a broken system that doesn't work. I spend quite some time with some of those pictures and how to approach them.
If what i create is what AI creates nowadays than you better shut that shit down 'cause it's either hopelessly drunk or on drugs.

This is really ridiculous people are starting to delete 'organic' drawing because they think only AI can draw those. I hope this get solved, otherwise, hosting have become quite cheap if you know how to make your own site.
The real problem here is that it disrupts the whole social media aspect of gallery websites like FA and DA, where building an identity as a bigshot skilled artist and gaining followers is part of the whole experience for a lot of people. I've seen way friendlier and more helpful attitudes from random 4chan anons than a lot of the users on here posting fake compliments and trying to suck up to populars.
The sadder thing is that those who have swallowed the loud line put out by that fearful chorus have decided to enquire no further; after playing with generative art for a few weeks, you really get a keen feeling of the signature of each engine!
I want to ask - though know that if I did I would be, at best, ignored, at worst, banned for trolling - as to what checkpoint they thought Irreversible was using? What Lora? Does it show signs of inpainting? Did you see cfg blotches? Did the images have exif data or a watermark from Automatic1111? Did you find the ComfyUI workflow in the file?
Chances are the decision was made by someone to whom those words would be as alien as 'photoshop, wacom, layer mask' would be to a 19th century portrait painter.
I do have a problem with people passing generated work off as if they "drew it", but they're mainly fooling themselves with that. I wonder how many artists on here have started to use it but haven't openly admitted to it and their followers just never noticed.
There was a story going around a while back of 'Midjourney art wins art contest!'. Shocking! Horrifying! Or, alternatively, amazing! Advanced! Of course, reading down to the third paragraph, the person that submitted the work spent three months tweaking the prompts and compositing and balancing the work in photoshop to 'prove that you didn't need to be an artist'. I had to laugh. Psst, guess what... you're the artist now.
My current purpose is getting it to do backgrounds and background details - like, I want a shelf of bottles here, but I really don't want to spend all day designing bottles, drafting the shelf, and drawing them in - there's not enough specificity, I just need the viewer to understand 'a shelf of bottles in a storage room'. And people do not appreciate impressionism....
Honestly, mastering GNN art is the only way I'll get my graphic novel done before I die! XD
I often describe Stable Diffusion as 'super advanced google image search'. You're probably not gonna find exactly what you want, but you'll find something close.
I also like to use it for human faces, because I feel guilty about referencing real people when I draw smut.
And yeah, being dishonest about art is the trashiest thing someone can do. Either lying about creating it or lying about your methods - they're setting people up for failure and stealing credit. As people get the 'feel' for GNN produced art and get canny about what it looks like - like all anime models based off of Counterfeit, which is... all anime models... draw the same hips - they're going to start getting called out hard.
That said, if someone is a fan of artist that's so repetitive and generic that they can spit out Stable Diffusion results without being noticed - well...
Fells like i'm being caught in the middle of a war same like painter vs photographer, traditional artist vs digital artist, digital artist vs 3D and so on... shit changes, world is moving forward. Get caught of guard and your left behind in your narrow minded believes ( like me and electric cars , can't stand that emotionalless, clean looking, no risk taking junk, fells like me in car-form )
There is absolutely NOTHING creative in this process. It's the user setting search parameters, and an algorithm pulling out data to meet the parameter requirements. Nothing more. Sure, some of it looks pretty. But it's not creative in the least. It's taking from reality, or from creative people's work, to extrapolate data. "AI Artists" are not artists. They're "search criteria writers". Nothing more.
Your art is interesting, it's organic, it's visceral. It's rough at times, but in a way that pulls your thoughts out onto "canvas". You are CREATING something, even if it's just small pieces of a whole.
Whatever AI "art" is, now or in the future, don't that ever hinder you from your art, from creating.
I'm sure that AI "art" will continue to evolve, looking better and better. That's the way of technology. That's something that society will have to deal with, as I'm sure that people are and will pawn off an AI "art piece" as their own work.
But whatever AI "art" is and becomes, that should have no bearing on what you do. Keep doing it. Keep your style. I, and many others enjoy it.
Personally that stuff i saw is way to clean, to similar, to detailed/overdrawn or almost impossible to archive by normal means... well maybe not impossible but it would take a lot of time. Also pretty sure everything is so diluted by now that you can't even make out any art style at all, unless specifically trained to copy someone.
There is enjoyment in drawing. It's calming and sometimes unpredictable. Using more brushwork instead of 3D pretty much showed me that i tried way to hard to make something perfect, which only lead to frustration. I can pretty much just cut out a certain part of a picture, rearrange it and easily paint over it again to make it fit with the rest, which is the beauty of using messy or textured brushes instead of making everything look clean.
But even if it is, that's some serious bullshit. Fuck those people reporting you.
