While overall I think poses should be available to all, it’s important for the artist to draw it down themselves before posting it for sale or otherwise. For various reasons really. And not trace it too closely or use the AI piece directly in it in any way

The issue with asking for common consensus on a heated topic is that there is no singular morally correct answer, but thankfully, there is a site based correct answer and that's the simple fact that as an art site the focus is on human artists/skills, and we don't want to take away from the efforts actual artists put into their work.

AI art of any caliber removes attention from artists who actually put in the effort- not to mention the commissioners who actually enjoy supporting such efforts.

It goes beyond "its a tool".

It would be the equivalent of paying a writer for a story and realizing the entire thing was written by Chat-GPT. You're paying for authenticity, not something you could do yourself for free.

But hey that's just my two cents.

Regarding YCH poses as an example, there's an obvious difference between taking inspiration from a few different things and just tracing something online that was likely just multiple sources stolen from artists who actually took the time to create something unique.

So, in short, it's either theft or just plain uncreative. Both of which don't have much of a place on a site focused on individualism and creativity.

I figured that would be the general idea of it. It is kind of disheartening to see some of my artists friends losing a number of clientele and, on the flip side, seeing more people adopt AI (on other sites) for their personal use.

Yeah, not to mention most AI art just looks bad. Even the stuff that seems legit, it's like there's this...wax film over it all no matter the art style. I dislike it visually tbh.

Since Ai "Art" is still nothing but stolen content from artists who never gave their permission to use their work, I will be against it.
I will report AI Submissions day in and day out.

And since Ai cannot recreate your OC's like an artist can do, it's 100% useless to me. Especially since there is not a single AI User who can actually make a 100% error free picture.

Often feels like people spend so much effort to try and just get stuff to work makes me wonder why not just....do the actual thing.
I do fear reporting false positives though, which some artists have already seen.

Glad to hear you're against genAI! Those literally couldn't exist without millions of pieces of training material from artists who didn't give consent and aren't getting compensation, even though the companies are still profiting off of it
