Me again! Just checking in with you all! I hope April/May was a pleasant month for everyone! 💜
So sorry for the delay in posting one of these, it's been a busy of a couple months of fretting ^^"
Our poor pupper's arthritis is still bothering her - she's on pain and inflammatory meds, it's been so sad to see her go from long walks to struggling to walk in just a couple months...
Her other foot is also bothering her now - so we're seeing to that as well so she remains comfortable 💜
But we bought her a trolley so we can wheel her around on long walks and let her out to sniff around in the park - she loves it! 💜
I thought I had another year of leasing my car, but nope! I'm a dummy! It's due to end in the next month, so having to scrounge to save to keep it - my fault entirely! XD
And a few family matters I won't get into - but it's piled up, let's just say that much ^^"
I'm so grateful for the work coming in though! It's been the only thing keeping me going! I can't thank those of you enough for working with me so much - it means the world to me! 💜💜💜
Other then all of that - I've just been working hard - trying to squeeze some time to work on my personal projects at the same time 💜

Right now I'm in kind of a weird "waiting period" with my job. I'm a contract worker and trying to get hired full time, and my contract is up soon - so I'm hoping I'll keep my job and not have to job hunt. Pray for me lol!! Otherwise I've gotten back into art again, so I've been slowly plucking away at some character concept art. Hoping this phase lasts longer than 2 drawings but we'll see!!

I've just been using most of my free time planning my Pokemon Mystery Dungeons and Dragons campaign, so its been a lot of fun getting ideas from other Dungeon Masters on how to make the current dungeon all the more exciting for my players.
Aside from that, I'm still slowly tackling Clair Obscur: Expedition 33! I keep finding more and more people who play it and it makes me so happy that a game I'm incredibly passionate about is getting so much love and positive publicity! ^^
But we're just coddling her with all the love and attention we have💜

It is a beautiful game, it's not my kinda thing to play, but I love watching my partner play it ^^ 💜

Aaaand as for me-
Mostly been playing new things ; Minecraft modpack, Balatro (offered by a friend <3), Chicory (waited on my steam shelf for a year xD), Animal Well, etc.. and playing healthy League of Legends with frens >w> we're having fun and progressing together !!
Chicory and some irl stuff actually kinda helped me get back into drawing- even just lil sketches ! So I'm happy for that- figuring stuff out about myself kinda helped too (though I.. what happened is, blackout (forgot a *lot*) then remembered a *lot* after a specific event- things I automatically suppressed, won't get into it but I was down for a few days ~w~ but ultimately it helped me more than it hurt ! :D)
I don't think I wrote this before sooo uhhh I also kinda realized long hair and thick fluff (and hyper hair, etc..) is kinda my.. one of my most beloved things in drawing and ocs and all >w>" feeling weird about liking it so much buuut happy I found something silly that I enjoy !
something exciting soon.. I'll be home alone for a few days ? x) (I dunno, I like alone time and freedom-) otherwise I don't really know, something might be coming (apprenticeship finally ?) but I can't say anything for sure, I just enjoy days as they come and try having fun on personal projects .w.
Animal companion.. sadly our family doggo passed away around a year ago, but there's another doggo coming to our home (with his owner too, complex stuff but don't worry !)- he's slowly trusting me more, seemingly even less affected by his probable traumas (his owner found and adopted him, we don't know his real age and who owned him before)- and he's such a loving sweetheart, very affectionate and playful ! Though he's been calmer recently.. a bit too calm ^^" we don't know why exactly, he seems alright otherwise, just.. lazy

Aw-poor love, it's so hard to loose a companion - but having another around can mend the pain a little, animals are good at that. So I'm glad you've got another little one around to warm up to ^^ 💜
Luna get periods of unusual calm too - it can be a many number of things, but I hope they get back to their usual selves soon! 💜

As far as how things are going here, its already getting hot here in Florida. Interested to see just how spicy it gets here this summer.
My main fandom project is my story, which I just released the first NSFW chapter for, which is fun. I have also been getting some simple cheap art of the cast so people can see what the characters look like. It's been kinda fun iterating and designing all of them with semi-unique patterns (many of them are chipmunks, or chipmunk-hybrids). I'm excited to run my first ever raffle related to the story soonish (waiting for a views milestone to drop it)
Other than that, its just been work, and home things. Starting to work out some plans to do some home upgrades to the yard this summer.
My partners' cats are alive and well too. One of them is getting a little old. but he's still good.

I've been existing. Work has been rough due to a new project I got assigned on March and we are finally getting more stable with progress though it still feeling bumpy and stressing. It trigger my urticaria and has made me want to smoke (which fortunately i have managed to avoid doing)
Mmm... i got the money for something really big regarding my partner, so im excited for it and just waiting for the delivery of it ^^ and with that expense covered i can re-focus on clearing some debts and maybe save for some comms though that second part might still take a while. She is my priority and building a future together is too but that needs some $$
I dont have any animal companions, im all by myself at the apartment for the moment :v

Stress can be so hard to cope with, make sure to find time for yourself to unwind, even just for a few hours doing something you with, it can help ^^ 💜

It has been an interesting month for me.
I wanted to be a better human being, so I did some soul-searching and even tried a session of tantric yoga.
That I spent an hour or two curled up on my living room floor with a blanket and a plushy -and also felt really depressed for a week afterwards- tells you all that you need to know about how well that session went.
But it did at least help unclog a thing or two that I have kept repressing for a while now. And my brother have helped with pointing out that there have been a few not so good things about our childhoods that may have led to some traumas that affects our respective personalities.
I also realise how much the cynical, negative atmosphere on my workplace affirm my paranoia. Being told over and over that your bosses doesn't care about you, and that any goodwill of theirs is a trick of some kind, really wears you down over time.
So what I have been taught to consider normal is not very healthy for me.
And I really do not want to be like my father.
So that's a bit of a bummer.
On the plus side: being depressed and emotional made me write more consistently on my story.
And I finished my yearly half-marathon with a good time.
I hope that in time you find the answers you seek. I can only wish for the absolute best for you on your journey 💜

I don't want to give the impression that my childhood was entirely dysfunctional, because my parents did actually try to make it work, and did a lot of nice things for us siblings.
But often stressed and irritable parents, with a slightly autistic child who have troubles interpreting social cues, is not a good combination.
And school was it's own hell, of course.
I’m sorry about the family stuff and your car. Keep hanging in there! I’m glad your work and projects are still giving you joy. I’m happy to contribute if you want more commissions or anything.
As for me? It’s had some ups and downs. Been trying to take care of my mental health, and I’m doing well, but also trying to navigate new and current job stuff. Trying to stay creative with art and continuing to learn on that front, while also staying social and giving myself breaks. You could say I’ve been juggling a lot. But I’m good overall, been having good times with friends and making some new ones.
My cat is doing good, but MAN does she shed this time of year. One brushing session is enough to make a softball-sized wad of fur. And she’s a small cat.
One game I have absolutely loved is Blue Prince. It’s hard to explain: it’s an architecture roguelike where you have to explore a mansion while building it. It also has resource management, incredibly deep puzzles, and a perfect vibe that’s both relaxing AND engrossing. Highly recommend it.
