Last year about this time, I was asking about what I should actually write for Nanowrimo because I had a bad case of indecision, not to mention a severe lack of confidence in myself and what I should be doing with my life. And, as always, this year I find myself in a different place with a different set of circumstances. That is actually part of the reason for the lack of communication on my part: I made a major move early in the summer, one that isn't really complete yet until I have my animals up here with me, but that will take some time to complete. So, I sit here at four in the morning, drinking my tea to open at a starbucks that last year this time I didn't know existed. This leads me on to what else is different, concerning Nanowrimo 2011: I already know what I'm going to write. In fact, in a lot of ways I've already started on it.

The .65 of you who follow my dA already know what last year's project was: Black Alice. And you also know that it's not complete yet. But there's a good reason for that: I've decided that this story will come second to last. Rekka's story is important but it's the last one, I realized at the beginning of September, that I wanted to tell. So this year's Nanowrimo will be Red Alice, following Xander after the events of Black Alice. It's a little cliche to want to tell the story like that, have a prequel between the first books and the very last, but in this case this is how the story needs to be told. Well, that's what I'd like to believe.

For now, Black Alice in it's current form will remain up, as through October I'll actually be working on starting the second draft's outline for that. As much as I want the story to come last, I need to know at least the ending to know where Red Alice really starts from. Also, during this time, as with last year, I'll be uploading information to dA as I work on it to get ready for the madness.

Also, any and all challengers to try to beat me to 50,000 are more than welcome. >XD
