Back from the dead

Well, not from the dead, but from the seriously inconvenienced. O.o
What's happened since our last episode...
Not long after my last journal entry, I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids. Basically, I found out that I had a bunch of non-cancerous, hard tumors in my uterus that were beginning to grow exponentially and squish nearby organs. So I had to have surgery. I went into the hospital for a hysterectomy on July 16, and what came out of me was the size of a five-month pregnancy. O.O Believe me, I feel TONS better now that all of that is out of my body and no longer squishing things or interfering with my breathing or co-opting my blood supply. But the recovery was a long one. I was off of work for a month and mostly incapacitated for around two months after that. Thankfully, my pain level wasn't too bad and I've been back to normal activity for a while now.
Other than that, it's been fairly quiet. I'm still reviewing books, and I'm up to 85 watchers on the site Facebook page. Husby and I are starting to map out some webpages with cool places to go in Northern California. I also need to get some photos up on the site.
We've been to the NorCal Ren Faire, Lake Tahoe, Donner State Park, Monterey, and Yosemite since my last entry. Got some good pics, but no real outstanding wildlife shots this year. Not surprising, since most of my summer was spent in recovery and the aforementioned trips were fairly low-key as I got my energy back.
I do want to try to be here more often, but I need to learn to manage my time better. I also want to get some more commissions, but catching the artists that I want can be a bit tricky. Will have to work on that.

And Yayz Yosemite, love that place. I visit it when ever I'm on the mainland to see family.
