Leonard was and continues to be one of the men who inspired me and filled my childhood with wonder about the world and beyond it. Leonard enchanted me with his performance when I watched Star Trek for the first time when I was growing up and that was when I, like many, developed my love for Science Fiction. Star Trek was the spark for me.

I can't thank him enough for all of the wonder he brought to the world, heh, even though at one time he hated being recognized as Spock all the time, I'm happy he embraced it in the end. However, he's not just Spock, Leonard Nimoy was far more precious and unique than that. He was a shining example of a human being; even with all the flaws, he helped propel humanity by helping inspire NASA do the feats it accomplished after Star Trek first aired. He won't be forgotten, that's for damn sure. I for one will do my part in sending him off, as minuscule as it is.
