I was thinking about this tonight. We have a popular artist, and is understandably popular with amazing work. So the demand will be high, and so the cost should be high. In our community we will have a few dozen furs that will be wealthy enough to by the Wu Tang Clan exclusive album on a whim, so they could potentially autobuy the same artist each time a YCH is offered by that artist. So eventually we have only a few furs, the same each time, getting the YCH from that artist. So, the artist can keep drawing for the same person each time, and it's completely reasonable to expect that. So in this case, why bother with an auction, offer those people the YCH right away. I'd imagine for this popular an artist the autobuy would be bought out each time anyway.
I felt kind of silly putting in a bid anyway, at the time I was thinking there's no chance I'd get it. Made me super jealous of the autobuy person. Oh well, c'est la vie, as Kirk said to Commander Kruge while on the planet Genesis.

Isn't that true.... *snuggles back* If you look at it I guess its not all that important. You can pay hundreds of dollars for a really nice picture of your fursona in a sexual act of some kind but how much can you 'admire' it. Things change, always and always, next it will be commissioned VR stuff, and hey by then I'm sure you can ask your computer to draw you something in a certain style.

But I can pay, maybe not the several hundreds, I could but couldn't really justify such an expense. You really make me think about finding a half decent artist to do some robo transformation scenes, or even robo merging... Now to find an artist who would agree to do such work.
