A New year
In the long road to find "my people" at what feels like the ancient age of 30.
Generally I avoid groups because they just seem to inherently make drama, I really despise drama. I have little if No coping mechanisms for it aside from anger and distancing myself. Living far away from where all the "action" is doesn't help my social life much either.
In September of 2015 I was getting ready to attend an event, Wasteland Weekend (post apocalyptic full immersion festival) I volunteer to help out and got my car stolen for the trouble. that didn't help much at all in feeling welcome. Gladly the car was found in the next major city from where I live well known for its crime. goody me right. The car was whole. I still have a desire to sue the thieves for the storage fees as well as the cost of having my car re-keyed ($600)
The event was...alright. no friends and the folks we camped with weren't a great fit wasn't all that helpful to my mood.
but I carry on because I have no choice.
So Husband and I decide we'll make a yurt, that will make for a cool camping thing.
attempt 1 was a failure as the wood was just too dry to flex into the round shape. now attempting another route, simpler and with a material he is more adept at working in. I just feel shitty for the cost setback.
on the Fur side of things, with a lot else in my life i've just let slide away, to be expected when you have nobody to really share that with. yay for living on Mars I guess.
2016 can only really go Up from here... or so I hope. *knocks on wood desk*
