Ah.. I am bored and writing this from my bed with an ice pack to my back shoulder that has been ongoing strainpain?? for like 3 weeks now. Because of that I haven't been able to draw much, or have to take it A LOT slower. Been trying to take care of it thru stretching and exercise, massaging and medicated patches an all. But it is persistent and maybe gettig worse as im not even drawing but somehow the way I'm sittig in front of my computer constantly aggravates it.
It's not terrible or unmanageable. Doing what I can at home but uh... hm contemplating the idea of seeing a chiropractor.
Anyway.

I haven't had any serious falls/impacts on it. I can track when it started which was from one night that i pushed myself too much drawing past pain. (I never really realized until now how much I tense up that area when I'm drawing digitally;;; ) It's happened before but usually if I stop it would go away. However this happened at the beginning of when my area went into quarantine, so considering that I'm no longer working at my job where I'm on my feet all day, the increased time of being at my computer (cuz what else am I gonna do??? lol) i think is what rly exacerbated it. I do think might be some inflammation type thing cuz icing seems to help calm it down a bit. But yeah this is rly all my own speculation.
I admit, during these times I dun rly wanna go out if it's not serious (and not rly sure I can afford an x-ray;;;), but if all my measures don't change anything and it still persists beyond that then UUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuh yeah i think I would need to get it checked out ahahaha;;;;
Well, it sounds more tendon related based on what you said. However, your posture before the computer may also contribute to your pain too. See if you can track down an arm immobilizer for using in bed over night, like they have people sleeping with the wrist braces for their wrists overnight. It might need some muscle relaxers if tension and stress is aggravating this. The arm is strapped to the side and front of you to take stress off the shoulder. If you know a physical therapist, they could give you a recommendation on the best one to use.
Yeah arm immobilizer sounds like a good idea. (o_o)b Also, was curious so googled how long I could wait before seeing a doctor for (what I think???) might be muscle strain? and they're like "24-72" hrs. Uuuuuuuuuh whoops. Maaaayyybeee I should go call. I guess it's the responsible adult thing to do at this point :'D ahahaha;;;...*sobs*
