Conventions and Commitment
Now that things are getting back to some semblance of normal, I've been thinking about making up for lost time and getting out more. I've been pretty guilty of being pretty introverted up 'til now but really want to change that and have for a little while. As of late I think I've been doing pretty well in that regard and feel conventions are a pretty good way to keep that momentum going.
Right now here are the three I have in mind: Another Anime Convention, Anthro New England, and Anime Boston. The first two I haven't been to before and the last is one I've been going to for almost 10 years, so it's a pretty good mix of fresh and familiar. I already have a pretty healthy crew I go with to AB, but don't really have any plans to go with anyone to AAC and ANB yet. That last part is probably the biggest thing in the way of my convention plans because I've been especially guilty of flaking on things if I couldn't find somebody to go with. I'm thrilled to say I'm getting past that and actually committed to go solo to my first concert not too long ago!
Anyway, while I can't speak for the first two, I will shill for Anime Boston any day of the week if you've ever thought about going! Tons of variety in panels big and small, and it's run by some pretty awesome people too.
Soggy out
