Irhi's Yearly Journal 2024
General | Posted a year agoMy God, I'm making this yearly diary closer and closer to the end of the year. The halloween decorations are down, and now only christmas and new year's bombs remain until the number changes again.
★★★
I have accumulated art that I need to upload here that is over a year old, and I should be doing it soon. It's something I've been procrastinating on (A LOT) but I'd like to get it done before the year ends. So with apologies in advance, I will be uploading things slowly. If someone has asked me for a commission and realizes that I haven't uploaded it, let me know because I'm sure I'm going to miss some.
Even though I haven't updated, I am eternally grateful that people keep contacting me, and I have some amazing clients. They are no longer clients, they have become friends. I think it's been 10 years since I decided to upload my first drawings to this site, and it has only brought me good experiences and a lot of knowledge.
★★★
On a personal level, I've been living in Poland for more than two years now, and I can't stop thanking for the possibility to have made friends, to study the language very slowly and to have a normal human job that, even if it doesn't pay much, makes me very happy.
Thank you for reading this, for giving me motivation to keep drawing and for being a very very nice community.
★★★
And while I still have your attention, I have a small recommendation!
A friend of mine has joined here recently, so if you ever get the interest to ask for commissions to a new artist,
ToriMochiArt is my suggestion :)

General | Posted 2 years agoI felt the yearly calling to update this journal so here I am!
A LOT has happened, mostly good things and a bunch of changes in my life.
I've been living in Poland for almost a year now, without knowing the language or pretty much anything before coming here so that was a big life bet.
Thankfully I have two very good friends who helped me and my husband setting a place for us, being amazing translators and just amazing in general.
We both got good jobs, I'm learning polish everyday and I'm grateful that I enjoy learning languages because OH BOY it is difficult! Just the word 'sorry' is 'przepraszam' (Look at the consonant-vowel relationship as is impressively uneven xD)
The last couple months I felt really burned out though... and after some reflection it makes sense. We've been through a lot of new experiences in a short amount of time so now as we got settled a bit better all the tiredness is knocking my minds door.
I am VERY grateful to the friends who kept talking to me, asking me for work even though I warned them that I am being slower... since drawing is one of the things I love to do the most and a small refuge in this moment, keeping to do that in an unknown place has been beautiful.
And even though I stopped uploading art (I have +20 things to upload still, and I'll go slowly, sorry!) new people found me and communicated with me so that's really amazing.
Things continue to be difficult, I will keep draw slowly and move forward in the mud while trying to make a life as an adult in a city where I can't read the signs (https://youtu.be/8GC8TLc1Gdo)
Thank you for being there, for the patience and your friendship!

Irhi's Life 2022 Update :3
General | Posted 4 years agoIt's time for the (apparently annual) update of my Journal here!
Those of you who talk with me got to hear about and experience a bit of the most important process of my life so far!
I moved from Argentina to Italy! Why, we are still not very clear (apart from escaping economic inflation) but I am with my husband and my two furry children.
And a period of my life begins in which I want to make drawing my main source of income, so if you want and have ideas for me, I'm more than willing to help you <3 <3 <3
I was 4 months away from my husband (the longest time apart since we've been together) and I developed a (not so) slight obsession with Our Flag Means Death and Good Omens.
I don't know if it's appropriate to upload them here, but I have a lot of fanarts in mind.
I need to catch up and upload a bunch of commissions here and in the rest of the social media world.
Thank you all for reading, and know that every commission you ask me for, every chat you have with me makes me veeeeery happy n_n

Irhi's News!
General | Posted 5 years agoHello everybody! I hope you all are good or at least in the best possible way.
It's time for the annual update of my journal (?
I am in the middle of moving with my partner and my two cats to a new place! n_n
And after we are all done with that I will update my commission rates along with their prices.
It wont be much but I'm happy to think that I have improved a lot in my skills, and updated my drawing tools too, so many of you have recommended to give my work a better value... it's something that I have a hard time doing.
I am very afraid to think that it will be "too expensive" and you won't ask me for drawings anymore, but I want to take care of myself and the things I love.
Also the last time I did this I thought the same and luckily many have given me precious opportunities to draw their characters :3
Thank you very much for talking to me, for taking care of me, since I joined this community I have not received anything but love and good friends.

2020
General | Posted 6 years agoA few weeks after the end oF THE Y E A R, I take this opportunity to thank all those who commissioned me, believed in me, in my first year in which I was encouraged to show more what I do. I was able to raise money to move with my hubby and pay the bills much more comfortably.
Also my cat Sweet Potato thanks you because he had many toys and combs for his hair this year.
I have many ideas for next year, and I hope you enjoy them! <3
