Rebranding (New fursona name + species)
General | Posted 6 months agoThis short journal is to announce that I have changed my fursona from a wolf to a corgi, because Corgi's are my personal favorite breed of dog, and I have changed their name to Marshall. I still love Jackie as a name, but Marshall has been on my mind a LOT recently and it's a name I've been wanting to use, so I'm using it lol.
Also I picked up a part time shift as a Busser for Chili's. The pay isn't a lot but I'm thinking about using some of my money occasionally to get some art commissioned and start filling out this profile a bit with artwork of Marshall.
(Any similarities to anybody else's fursona who may also be a corgi and may also be named Marshall are completely coincidental and no infringement of your characters name or design is intended.)

Thinking about lost friends
General | Posted 12 months agoI was just thinking about the friends I've lost back when I used to be more conservative in my beliefs. This was during a time where I was still quite religious, having been raised up in the church, and so, as you can imagine, my views leaned towards right wing conservatism. At the time, I simply saw these beliefs as the cold hard truth. Since 2020 however, I have had a fundamental shift in my views, brought on partially by the pandemic. I had already started losing my faith before this happened, but in early 2020, my church closed down, and it stayed shut for an entire year. This period of time really pushed me further into my atheism, and eventually I decided I would not be returning to church when it opened back up.
Something else that happened, is that I began to see my views shift towards the left. During this most recent election, the candidate I voted for unfortunately did not end up winning. For the sake of not starting any political debates in the comments, I won't say by name, but I think you can pretty easily guess who that certain someone is. I found myself agreeing with the feminist fight for women's equality, equality for LGBTQIA+ people (myself being in the community), and the fight against non-white racial discrimination. I agree with causes that fight against global warming, and I believe that women should have the right to choose over their own bodies. I have learned about the scientific consensus that sex and gender are two separate things, with gender being more of a social construct, and this made me open my eyes to the fact that, there aren't only two genders, but in fact, an infinite number of gender expressions and identities.
And so, this leads me back to the start of this journal. I had friends whilst I was a conservative, and my conservatism pushed them away. I deeply regret this, and I sincerely wish that these people could see how much I have changed as a person, how much I've grown over the years. I know that no matter how different my views are Now, I cannot change my past, and unfortunately that means that these people who choose to stop being friends with me, are just gone. I will never reach out to them to see how they're doing, or to catch up with them after high school, because I know they will never want to talk to me.

I make levels in Super Mario Maker 2 now!
General | Posted a year agoIf you would like to check out the levels I’ve uploaded, my maker name is “Jackie2826.” I am an active creator who uploads new levels on a fairly regular basis…Well, at least until I hit the 100 level upload limit. Anyways, I hope you enjoy what I make and have fun playing my levels. I am also working on a Super World map that will contain the first 40 levels I upload (8 worlds, 5 levels per world).
Bought a Nintendo Switch today!
General | Posted a year agoI know I'm Years late to the party, but I'm finally a switch owner as of today. It's the model with the neon red & neon blue joy cons. I'm gonna update my profile here soon with my Switch game code so please feel free to add me as a friend!
Any suggestions for commission artists?
General | Posted 3 years agoI’m interested in eventually getting art commissioned of my fursona Jackie, and I’m interested to know what artists people like to get commissions from. I’m not financially able to commission anything just yet, but suggestions for the future would be appreciated if possible. Thanks!
Rejoining the Furry Fandom + A little Backstory
General | Posted 4 years agoHello everybody. I figured I'd write this journal to give a little bit of an introduction for myself. Who I am, my already pre-existing background in the fandom, etc.
I had originally joined the fandom back in 2014, and originally I had a coyote fursona named Kiely. I was introduced to the fandom after finding a video on YouTube of the fursuiter Telephone, and I just thought the concept was really cool.
Kiely then got renamed and redesigned, and became Mordecai. After a while I created other fursona's: A Fox named Skylar, an Angel Dragon named Winnie, a Bear named Alex, an Owl named Mumble (Who became my main for a while), another Owl named Max, a Fox named Ash, and, ironically enough, a rabbit named Jackie.
Obviously as you can tell, the name for my current fursona is borrowed from that previous one. I chose the name for that one, and carried it over to my new fursona, because I honestly just really love that name. But Jackie isn't just another new fursona for me. He's more of a reset, or a fresh start if you will. The other's have been completely scrapped, and he's taking their place.
All except for Mumble that is. That character does still exist, but he isn't associated with the fandom anymore, nor is he considered a fursona by me. He is considered to be more of a mascot figure for my gaming channel if you want to be technical.
Around 2 months ago, I decided to leave the fandom, primarily due to personal reasons. Things had gotten really tough in my life, and I thought I had no choice but to leave the fandom behind. Because of this, I had originally never intended on rejoining. But soon after I left, I started to regret my decision. The simply truth is, the fandom has brought me a lot of happiness, and has afforded me many friends over the years. And I never lost interest in it.
Obviously it's just a fandom, a hobby, and not something that is really impactful on my actual day to day personal life, but I Do still want to go to conventions, and get a fursuit, and all that jazz. That's still in my bucket list of shit to do.
But I decided that, If I'm going to scrap about my plans to leave the fandom, I'm not just gonna reuse the fursonas I already had. I set out to give myself a completely fresh start within the fandom, and that is what lead me to where I am right now, writing this admittedly beefy journal.
I hope you enjoyed learning a bit more about myself, and how I got my true start in this fandom. I'm not the best artist in the world, so don't expect any self made art anytime soon, but I do have a sketchbook and I'd love to take the time to learn how to sketch and better my drawing skills. Thank you for taking the time to read this if you did
