At the suggestion of others I have set up a gofundme.

My grandpa's wife left us unexpectedly on Christmas day and I'm trying to get myself and my family out to him at his request. He's not doing well. I want to make enough for at least the kids and I to rent a car and get out there, but if at all possible I would prefer if my husband was able to come with us so that I didn't have to drive all that way alone, so I set the goal to be automated, it set the first goal at $400, to get the kids and I out there we would need $600-800 to cover the rental car, food, and hotel for the trip there and back, and to get my husband out with us, we would need $1500 to cover bills for the week that he would have to take off of work.

UPDATE: I just got back from seeing my grandpa, we put the expenses for airline tickets for myself and the kids on a credit card. Any money made through the gofundme has been used to pay off the ticket prices, We're almost half way to having it paid off completely. Any continued support would be amazing so that we're not incurring interest on the cost of the tickets.

The trip went well, it was nice to see my grandpa and be able to be there for him, I think he really needed it, and we had a nice time visiting. Saying goodbye was difficult on all of us, but I'm glad that we were able to see him because he was having a really hard time being in the house alone after everything that happened. We're hoping to be able to save up the money to get out to see him again at the end of the year.

There was a death in my family today, my papa's wife left us unexpectedly, leaving my papa alone and I need to get to him, he's not doing well.

A couple of years ago, my whole family moved all around the country, so there is no one near him in his time of need, I'm the closest family member and I'm in Indiana while he is in Florida. I looked into it and it's about an 18 hour drive, however, my husband needs to work so he can't come with us, and we only have one car. I'm trying to raise money to rent a car for a week or so and possibly make money for a hotel and to buy groceries for the kids and I while we are out there, or heck, if I can make enough to cover his check on top of that it would be amazing so that my husband could take time off of work to come with us, but I at very least need to get out there for him. If anyone would like a commission, please message me, I'm really worried about my papa. Turn around times may vary because of everything that is going on, I won't be able to draw while I'm out there but I will get to an commissions I'm able to get in as soon as I possibly can Even a small commission will help us to get to where we need to be.
